The Tanjung Kelayang Granite Geosite is the end of granite province in the Southeast Asia. This geosite offers the exotic view from the rock structures at the coastal beach. Those structures are composed by the Trios (+1-213 million years ago) granite Tor morphology at the sea environment. The granite Tor sea environment morphology has been recognized as the world class geological heritage (Komoo, 2017). Those rock clusters form the small island which offers the beautiful panorama with a very dear sea water. This allows the visitors to explore those island and the biodiversity at the sea bottom.

The freeze thaw process in the rectungular joints is responsible to form the cubiodal shape on granite. Then, the hydrolysis proces formed the subrounded shape.

Clownfish (Amphiprion Percula)

The clownfish inhabitants at shallow tropical marine lagoon and seaweed reefs sites with a clear water. A clear water in Tanjung Kelayang asscociates with the fine grained white sand from the granite parent rock with which is silica-rich and no mud exists. They are protandous hermaprodite which are males except the largest species of the group is female. When the female dies, the largest male converts to female and the rest of them change the hierarchy based on their size. Their populations can be found in the tropical marine enviroment of the Indo-Pacific including Belitong (Boyer, 2018).

The most popular attraction is to explore the small granite island in Lengkuas. This island has been instaled the lighhouse tower in 1882 to guide the ships towards the Belitung Island package. This island is composed. by the remaining rock clusters from the TOR process. The upper rocks express the block appearances from the rectangular joints (vertical & horizontal) while the lighthouse reflect very low structure impacts with an underlying shape.

The small island trips use the local fisherman boats which can bring 10 passengers. These trips can take 2 hours if the weather allows. The first stop is at the sand island which offers the beatiful view with a white sand background. Then, the snorkeling activities offer to explore the clown fish, reef other wonderful views with a clear and shallow sea water near the Lengkuas Island. Then, the lunch place is availabe at Kepayang Island with a Belitong cuisine serviced by the fresh fishes from the Northwest Belitong sea.

Over a half granite consists of feldsfar, then, quartz at 30%, and mica 12%. The Tanjung Pandan Granite age has been analysed using Rb-Sr ranging from 208 to 218 million years ago (Priem et at 1975), then, was re-analysed by Professor Mel Jones (1977) using the weighted mean K-Ar results fell at 218 million years ago from the hornblende and biotite from those granites.
